The Rapier Field Standard C (FSC) is a database-based air defense missile system against the enemy short-range UAVs, helicopters, aircraft and cruise missiles. The missile can destroy a low altitude supersonic aircraft. The rapier is air transportable by aircraft and helicopters, and can be towed by armored size. Since 1992, 57 systems were produced for the British Army and the Air Force. In 2004, the number of systems has been reduced to 24 and Rapiers were withdrawn from RAF service.
